Trouble with Happy Birthday June 24, 2006

Once more I was saved just in time from yet another

you-don’t-even-remember-my-birthday-boohoohoo
scenario. You see Orkut comes very handy in this case and I
was reminded at least 4-5 times yesterday but given the
weird memory I have. I forget the things faster than anybody
can remind me! As I use my mobile phone for Internet access,
so by the time I shut down my PC I had completely forgotten
what Orkut tried so hard to remind me.

Luckily in the morning I was suddenly reminded of it. Don’t
ask me how but it made me think that as their is no hope of
me remembering the various days and also there is no chance
that people will stop expecting me to remember their
birthdays and few other important days. Also I can’t hope to
be lucky every time and something must be done in this
regard. So, I decided that as soon as I start understanding
even a bit of J2ME, I will make an application that can save
me from such trouble.

A program running on my mobile phone, which can
automatically send pre-decided SMSs at the desired date and
time looks like a life saving thing to me!!

It will have options like
send “Happy Birthday” to X at 12:00 midnight on 24th June
or send “Best of
Luck” to P,Q,R and S at 7:00am on 18th may or
send “Happy New Year” to
ALL at 12:00 on 1st Jan . Aur haan, it should also
have the feature of checking for the “Message Delivered”,
especially for occasions like New Year.

P.S.:One more motive for this (which most people will find
weird) is that I just can’t stay awake till 12:00 midnight.

Grabs gold. I forget just about
everything. But weirdly enough, I’ve a good memory for
birthdates. Now it’s getting bad. But I have a “REminder”
list in my phone already, so, sorry.

Arey bhai reminder to hote hi hain,
lekin remind karne ke baad bhi to SMS to khud hi likhna
padta hai naa?? And then theres one more problem with me
that I just can’t be awake upto 12:00 Midnight!!!!

Hmph…….

Dekho ji now if people can’t understand that its entirely
normal to forget such things (at least for few ppl like me)
then aisa kuchh hi karna padega naa??
